Linus Hassfurther, 88, Ferdinand
July 27, 2020Linus Hassfurther, 88, of Ferdinand, passed away at his home on Friday, July 24, 2020.

Linus was born January 21, 1932, in Ferdinand to Lawrence and Amelia (Dilger) Hassfurther. He married Darlene Hasenour on May 3, 1955, in Celestine.
Linus was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene of Ferdinand; two daughters, Sheila (Cliff) Fleck of Jasper and Cindy Hassfurther of Ferdinand; three sons, Russell (Tina) Hassfurther, Bill Hassfurther and Andy Hassfurther, all of Ferdinand; three brothers, Sylvester “Nessy” (Debby) Hassfurther, Pat (Donna) Hassfurther and Tom (Charlotte) Hassfurther, all of Ferdinand; one sister, Martha Hulsman of Birdseye; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Linus was preceded in death by a son, Tony Hassfurther; brothers Edgar, Norman, Albert, Joe and David Hassfurther; and sisters Dorothy Oeding and Ruth Gish.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, in St. Ferdinand Church. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 will conduct military graveside rights.
Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services.
