Linda Schmitt and Steve Luegers exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2018, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Father William Traylor officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Virginia Messmer of Jasper and the late Paul Messmer. The groom is the son of Betty Luegers of Jasper and the late Jim Luegers.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Jeremy Schmitt of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Mary Burke, Mark Messmer on trumpet, and organist Traci Catt.
The bride chose her sister, Martha Schmitt of Jasper, as matron of honor. Gretchen Beatty of Newburgh, granddaughter of the bride; Jessica Beatty of Newburgh, daughter of the bride; Donna Smith of Effingham, Illinois, sister of the bride; Paula Reyling of Jasper, sister of the bride; and Kathy Kugler of Jasper, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids.
Mr. Luegers chose his brother, Greg Luegers of Jasper, as best man. Kaleb Beatty of Newburgh, grandson of the bride; Aaron Beatty of Newburgh, son-in-law of the bride; and Tom Jahn of Jasper, Greg Harker of Indianapolis and Mike Thyen of Carmel, friends of the couple, were groomsmen. Keith Messmer of Newburgh and Kevin Messmer of Jasper, brothers of the bride, were ushers.
A reception was held at KlubHaus 61, Jasper, with music by Craig Schneider Entertainment.
The couple took an Hawaiian Island cruise and is living in Jasper.
