Life in the Spirit seminar will influence your lifeNovember 13, 2013
To the editor:
Many years ago I got involved with the renewal within the Catholic Church. I attended a Life in the Spirit seminar and my eyes were opened to a new and deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. After that seminar I had a better ability to hear God’s voice and receive direction in my life. I had a hunger to read the Bible and get to know Jesus in a more personal way. Just like when the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples in the upper room at Pentecost, I experienced wisdom, boldness and courage to spread my faith. The renewal has been instrumental in my faith walk.
We are truly blessed to have Presentation Ministries coming to offer a Life in the Spirit seminar; this is a lay association for the Catholic Church and provides the One Bread One Body daily devotional.
Life in the Spirit is designed to help better understand the Holy Spirit and his work. It helps to expand God’s kingdom here on earth. I highly recommend this seminar to anyone wanting a deeper prayer life and a relationship with our Lord and Savior. The seminar will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome. It is a free event. Doughnuts and lunch will be provided Saturday, so registrations are encouraged.
To register, call 683-8360 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Mass will be celebrated at 8 o’clock Saturday morning, with registration and the serving of doughnuts starting at 8:30.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses ... to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
