Library’s book sale is Saturday

FERDINAND — The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will hold its monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 . Patrons should enter by the northside doors off of the Ferdinand Community Center parking lot.

This month’s sale will feature books that will help with New Year’s resolutions. Tables of self-help, spiritual, diet and exercise books will be displayed.

The book sale also will feature newly acquired children’s books, Westerns, classics and favorite authors. A large donation of books by award-winning science fiction author Anne McCaffrey is available. Shelves of hardback and paperback books are now in alphabetical order to make it easier to find authors.

Hardback books are $1, paperback books are cents and DVDs are $1. Children’s books and puzzles are variously priced. Proceeds from the sale go toward library programming for children, teens, and adults.

Donations of gently-used books and puzzles are always welcome. Donations should be marked as going to the Friends. Membership pamphlets are available at the sale and at the library’s front desk.
