SANTA CLAUS — Due to inclement weather, the Santa Claus American Legion Post 242 Auxiliary Unit’s first annual benefit run has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 5. The run is open to motorcycles, Jeeps and autos with proceeds to benefit the Indiana Veterans Home.
Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m. CT at the Santa Claus American Legion Post 242, 41 N. Holiday Blvd. The run will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT and return approximately at 4:30 p.m. CT. The cost for the benefit run is $15 per driver and $10 per passenger, and includes refreshments during registration, door prizes and run prizes.
The benefit run has been rescheduled to coincide with the Santa Claus American Legion’s third annual Palooza on Saturday, May 5. The Palooza is open to the public for a $5 charge at the door. An array of bands begin performing at 3:30 p.m. CT. Pork chop dinners will be available throughout the day for $9 each, the Kentucky Derby will be viewed on three televisions, and a beer garden will be open to those age 21 and older.
