Legion continues family scholarship programJanuary 21, 2020
JASPER — Jasper American Legion 147 announces the continuation of the American Legion Family Scholarship. The program is sponsored by the American Legion Department of Indiana.
Eligibility for the American Legion Family Scholarship is open to the children and grandchildren of current paid members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion, and the children and grandchildren of members who are deceased and who, at the time of death, were paid members of the organizations.
The Department of Indiana established this financial aid program to help students from the American Legion family attain their educational objectives and to contribute to the development of an informed citizenry.
Applicants must be enrolled in or have been accepted for enrollment at an Indiana institution including universities, colleges, junior colleges, community colleges and technical schools. Nine scholarships will be given in the amount of $1,500 each.
