Legion announces everlasting memorials
November 4, 2019JASPER — The American Legion Post 147 of Jasper will conduct post everlasting memorial services in honor of post comrades who have died since Nov. 1, 2018.
Family members and friends are invited to attend the services, which will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the post home. The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes. All attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to be seated.
A post everlasting resolution (certificate) will be provided to the family and is suitable for framing. A newly-installed outdoor elevator is available for those who may need assistance.
Deceased members honored will be Steve Bough, Dennis Opel, Thomas Fluckey, John Erny, William Eckstein, Jerome Nordhoff, Paul Nonte, James Stenftenagel, Kenneth Meyer, Gerald Schmitt, Norbert Schroering, Robert Beckman, Hilmar Denu, Paul Underwood, Herbert Lueken, Carl Neukam, Ernest Begle, Leon Fleck, Richard Knies, James Troxler and John Summers.
