JASPER — Police accused a Spencer County man of impaired driving early Saturday morning after a traffic stop in Jasper.
A Jasper Police Department officer stopped a 2011 Dodge Caliber driven by Robert G. Black, 27, 20 E. Kennedy St., Chrisney, at 4:04 a.m. at U.S. 231 and 12th Avenue because Black allegedly drove left of center.
After field sobriety testing, police transported Black to the Jasper Police Station where a certified chemical test allegedly placed his blood alcohol content at .104%.
Authorities booked Black into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:20 a.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond in the early afternoon.
Police say Black was also cited for driving left of center.
