Lee Ray Goodman, 61, of Cuzco, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at home.
Lee Ray was born in Jasper on November 19, 1957, to Eugene and Mildred (Miller) Goodman. His first marriage was to Denise Vogt on August 29, 1986, and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2013. He then married Jill Harris on January 19, 2017, in French Lick.
Lee Ray was a 1976 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. He then earned a diesel mechanic degree in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He worked for the A&R pipeline in Celestine, Kimball, Morton buildings, and then for ONEOK gas company in Oolitic.
He was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Celestine Catholic Church, the Celestine Community Club and the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed attending shooting matches, fishing, mushroom hunting and cooking.
Surviving are his wife, Jill Goodman, Cuzco; two daughters, Andrea (Chris) Johnston, Jasper, and Sasha Newland, Orleans; one son, Jacob Gerald Paul Newland, Cuzco; three grandchildren, Zach and Alexis Johnston and River Gonya; two sisters, Cheryl (Paul) Burkhardt, Celestine, and Pam (Dan) Carter, Louisville; and one brother, Ted (Kim) Goodman, Celestine.
Preceding him in death are his first wife and his parents.
Funeral services for Lee Ray Goodman will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
