Law enforcement thankful for community supportJuly 31, 2020
To the editor:
The men and women of the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #138 want to express our sincere gratitude to the citizens of Dubois and surrounding counties. Numerous officers, including myself, have been thanked over the past several months by the community for our service. With all the negativity shown on television, printed in newspapers and displayed on social media, we appreciate the positive feedback and confirmation that we are doing the right thing for the right reason.
We also want to thank all the local businesses and individuals that have generously donated food and treats to our departments. Thank you for the nourishment and words of encouragement. We are blessed to live in and serve this community.
