Lauren Elizabeth Stemle and Jacob Alan Vanhooser exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. on June 2, 2018, in the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Father Colin Blatchford officiated at the ceremony assisted by Deacon David Lybarger, uncle of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Myron and Connie Stemle of Celestine. The groom is the son of Maggie Vanhooser of Hilton Head, South Carolina, and the late Keith Vanhooser of Evansville.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a Belmont white, fitted crepe V-neck gown with thin straps and side cut outs, a V back and fitted skirt. The dress was accented by a long train.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Andrea Tierney, Corinne Cooze and Charlie Stoltz.
The bride chose Megan Lueken of Celestine as matron of honor. Michaela Stemle of Seymour and Jenna Stemle of Celestine, sisters of the bride; Tinsel Fecteua of Nashville, Rachel Quinn of Jasper, and Kim Hustedde of Effingham, Illinois, all friends of the couple, were bridesmaids. The flower girl was Ellyse Hustedde of Effingham, Illinois.
The bridesmaids wore full-length sleeveless Mikado gowns with a deep V neckline in hunter by the Dessy group.
The groom chose his twin brother, Alex Vanhooser of Summit, New Jersey, as best man. Chris Deig of Portland, Oregon, Carmine Colavecchia of Austin, Texas, Aric Kennedy of Bloomington, Shaun Elsner of Evansville and Augie Carington of Pensacola, Florida, friends of the couple, were groomsmen. Shamik Amin of Chicago, Illinois, friend of the couple, and Jesse Vanhooser of Evansville, brother of the groom, were ushers. The ring bearer was Everett Holder, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held at The Waterhouse Pavilion, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Music was provided by The Emerald Empire Band.
Following a wedding trip to the Greek Islands, the couple is at home in Nashville, Tennessee.
The bride graduated from Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois, in 2007 and from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science. She went on to receive her Doctor of Chiropractic, Master’s in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University in St. Louis. She is co-owner of Tennessee Integrative Health in Nashville.
Mr. Vanhooser graduated from Mater Dei High School, Evansville, in 2007 and from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic, Master’s in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University, St. Louis. He is co-owner of Tennessee Integrative Health in Nashville, Tennessee.
