Larry R. Jones, 79, of Jasper, passed away at 5:04 a.m., on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his home.
He was born December 1, 1940, in Velpen to Paskel and Helen (McClure) Jones and married LuCinda Gutgsell on February 15, 1974.
Larry attended Grade School in Velpen and graduated from Otwell High School.
He was a career truck driver; and member of Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 and the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Janice Jones, who passed away on August 7, 2019.
He is survived by his wife, LuCinda “Cindi” Jones of Jasper; five children, John (Marla) Jones of Coe, Jerry Jones of Oakland City, Joseph (Sara) Jones of Washington, Lydia (Mike) Jones-Horvath of Indianapolis and Angela Jones of Vincennes; one brother, Sam Jones of Duff; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Saturday, March 28, 2020, with burial to follow at Augusta Cemetery, Augusta.
