Lane closures set for bridge project

From Local Sources

TENNYSON — Beginning Tuesday, contractors will begin closing lanes on the State Road 62 bridge spanning Little Pigeon Creek in Warrick County, about a mile east of State Road 161, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

During the closure, one lane will be closed at all times as crews work to mill and resurface the bridge. Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals.

The project is expected to take 60 days, depending upon weather conditions. Inclement weather will cause delays. Currently, the contract is scheduled for a 30-day closure in each lane consecutively.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
