Kudos to four young men from JHS

To the editor:

On a recent golf trip to French Lick, I had an encounter with four young men who attend Jasper High School. One boy's name was Ethan, and I think another's name was Brent. The boys were sitting at an outside table as we approached a restaurant and my group wanted to sit outside. The boys offered to move so we could have the better table, and then remained at the table to save it for us until we returned from talking to the hostess. I had a conversation with the boys and one mentioned that his grandfather's Vietnam war uniform was in the Jasper museum. I told him that my friend and I were Vietnam era veterans. For their nice gesture, I had the waitress take the boys sodas. The boys left and as the waitress brought us our bill for dinner, she also brought a $20 bill the boys had given her to help us pay for our dinners, thanking us for our service to our country. What wonderful kids you rear in your area!
