Knights shut out Raider boys

From Herald Staff Reports

The Southridge boys tennis team is quickly learning that rebuilding is rarely a quick and easy process.

The Raiders were swept 5-0 for the second time in as many days on Wednesday, this time at the hands of Castle in a match played at Evansville Harrison.

However, contrary to their Tuesday defeat to Northeast Dubois, the Raiders managed to capture a set Wednesday. After dropping the first set 6-4, Southridge’s No. 1 singles player Tyler Gray cruised through the second 6-1 to even the match. However, Castle’s Jake Lobell returned the favor in nabbing the decisive set 6-2.

The Raiders (0-2) will enjoy a four-day respite before a Monday skirmish with North Posey in Poseyville.
