Knies receives education scholarship

The Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educators, has awarded a $400 scholarship to Cayden Knies, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a minor in middle level mathematics teaching at the University of Southern Indiana.

Knies, son of Dwayne and Sherry Knies, has been honored both on the University of Southern Indiana dean’s list and with the USI David L. Rice Academic Award for the past three years. He has participated in the USI Teaching Eagles, USI Intramurals and various volunteer positions during his college career. Knies is a member of the Newman Catholic Community of USI and is a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
