Kickback: Annual Birdseye fire department match

Jaron Wiseman of Birdseye, 12, fired a shot at his target Sunday during the annual Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department shooting match at the Birdseye Conservation Club. Jaron’s father, Ron, back center, is a board member at the conservation club and helped coordinate the event. The shooting matches, lunch and quilt raffle raised more than $5,000 for the Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department.
