JASPER — A wanted man was transferred Thursday from Kentucky custody to the Dubois County Security Center on a local warrant charging him with Level 6 felony theft.

Court documents allege Bradley G. King, 26, Louisville, stole two firearms, a Milwaukee drill/hammer set with two batteries and charger, a credit card and a guitar from a Jasper man on Feb. 15, 2016.

A warrant for his arrest had been pending out of Dubois Superior Court since March 18, 2016.

During a court appearance Friday, the court granted King’s request for pauper counsel and entered a preliminary not guilty plea on his behalf. His next court appearance was set for May 6 and his bond was set at $2,000.
