Kenneth ‘Stovepipe’ Brown, 92, French LickJune 22, 2020
Kenneth “Stovepipe” Brown, 92, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2020, at Springs Valley Meadows.
He was born in Orange County on July 5, 1927, to Arthur and Ruby (Rainey) Brown. Kenneth married Wilma J. Brown on August 19, 1950, and she survives.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jesse Lancaster and John M. Lancaster “Johnny Boy”; and twin sons, Rick and Nick Brown.
Kenneth served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was self employed with his excavation business for over 29 years and also a parts and junk business.
He enjoyed building and flying Ultralights and Gyrocopters. Kenneth built five Gyrocopters and two Ultralights.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Brown, French Lick; three sons, Kenny Lee Brown (Willa Faye), Larry “Leroy” Brown (Charlene) and Scott Brown (Beverly Heath), all of French Lick; two half-sisters, Thelma Emmons (Estel) Hillham, and Janice Apple French Lick; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen and a private service will be held at a later date.
