Karen Sue “Suzie” (Hilgeman) Schroeder, 68, of Huntingburg and Petersburg, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was born April 14, 1952, in Huntingburg to Wilford and Doris LaVergie (Underhill) Hilgeman.
Suzie was a factory worker and enjoyed camping, fishing, watching movies and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael John Hilgeman and Carl Craig Hilgeman; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her caregiver and daughter, Angel Wetzel of Petersburg and Carrie Elizabeth Hunt of Radcliff, Kentucky; sister, Carol Diane Kraft Kerney of Petersburg; half-sister, Cindy Jones of French Lick; two stepsisters, Teresa Harp and Sheryl Dant ,both of Jeffersonville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the service. Burial will take place at Mayo Cemetery near Duff.
