K-9 Officer Bower promoted to sergeantNovember 14, 2017
From Local Sources
JASPER — The Jasper Board of Public Works and Safety this morning appointed City of Jasper K-9 Officer Adam Bower to the position of sergeant.
Mayor Terry Seitz indicated the process for the appointment was very rigorous.
“We interviewed eight current officers for sergeant and each of them displayed qualities of leadership. It says a lot about the future of the Jasper Police Department as well as the community that we have such high level of patrol officers,” Seitz said.
Bower has served as department’s K-9 officer since 2013 and a patrolman since 2003.
In addition to his duties with the department, Bower is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, a youth football and wrestling coach and a Level 1 Trainer for CrossFit Discipline. He also is a coordinator for the annual Cops & Kids Christmas program.
Sgt. Bower is married and has two children.
