SHOALS — Two juveniles were airlifted after a tree fell on a car they were occupying Saturday south of Shoals.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 11:35 a.m. advising that a tree had fallen on a vehicle occupied by a driver and two juveniles in a rural area near Shoals.
The caller said both juveniles required medical treatment due to possible head injuries. At that time, police said, the victims were en route to the Hindostan Falls area to meet first responders.
Both juveniles were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by Air Evac Flight 17, according to the sheriff’s office. The victims’ current condition was unknown.
