Holy Family School fifth-grader Kennedy Nicholson, middle, laughed as she and classmates Lauren Goad, left, and Emily Patterson watched their screenplay rendition of the book “A View from Saturday” during an Academy Awards ceremony in the fellowship hall Friday. The ceremony followed a class project in which the students created skits based off of novels they read and then recorded the skits on video. This group won the best screenplay and best ensemble awards.
