Julia C. Eversman, 102, of Jasper, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Harcourt Terrace Rehab and Health Care Center in Indianapolis.
Julia was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 14, 1917, to George and Barbara (Streicher) Gardner. Julia was the last surviving member of her family. She married Leonard Eversman on October 21, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1996.
Julia was a Jasper High School graduate.
She retired from Kimball International, where she was a secretary for over 25 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening, especially working in her yard.
Surviving are one daughter, Deborah (John) Klemen, Indianapolis; two sons, Paul Eversman, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Gregory (Sheilah) Eversman, Jasper; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Eversman, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are one son, Dr. Philip Eversman; two sisters, Bernice Roelle and Mary Lee Brockman; and one brother, Clifford Gardner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.
A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation, Holy Family Catholic Church, or to a favorite charity.
