Joseph Lee Cheser Jr., 84, of Indianapolis, formerly of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2019.
He graduated from Indiana University in 1961 and retired from Jasper Engines in 1998.
He was an avid IU basketball fan and enjoyed jazz music, gardening and fishing. He achieved Life Master in bridge and co-founded the Jasper Duplicate Bridge Club.
He is preceded in death by his mother; his father; and his wife, Rose, to whom he was married for 60 years.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Cheser III and Michael L. Cheser; one daughter, Angela Southern; and four grandchildren.
