Join naturalist for kayak tour of lake
May 23, 2019PATOKA RESERVOIR — Join the naturalist for a kayak tour on Patoka Lake at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Little Patoka Boat Ramp. To car caravan to the ramp, meet the naturalist no later than 8:30 a.m. at the Patoka Lake office.
Participants will view the waters of Patoka as they check out a rock quarry and waterfall while looking for beaver, bald eagles and other wildlife along the way. Bring a personal flotation device, preferred snacks, refreshments and sunscreen for this two-hour long journey.
Non-motorized boat launch permits are required and will be sold at the event for $5. These annual non-motorized launch permits can also be purchased at the Patoka Lake office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
