John Stephen Bruner, 63, died Saturday May 8, 2021 The University of Kansas, Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born April 5, 1958 in Washington, Indiana, the son of Charles and Bertha (Day) Bruner. He has lived in Minneola for eight and a half years moving from Paoli, Indiana.
John worked for Cintas of Dodge City. He loved camping, cooking, grilling, carpentry, taking care of his yard and spending time with his family.
On November 10, 1990 he married Debbie Hauser in Santa Claus, Indiana. She Survives.
Other survivors include his two daughters, Kirstie Pate and husband Justin, Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Lexy Bruner, Wichita, Kansas; 3 brothers, Andy Bruner and wife Pat, Leroy Bruner and wife Helen, Donnie Bruner and wife Sandy all of Loogootee, Indiana; 2 sisters, Margaret Shaffer and husband Joe, Poseyville, Indiana, and Ann Quinn and husband Roger, Loogootee, Indiana; granddaughter, Lilly Pate and grandson Anaya Pate, Jeffersonville, Indiana; Special family friends Tim and Samantha Gillis and their children Lily and Rose.
John was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Bruner.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday May 14, 2021 at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola with Fr. Jim Dieker officiating. Visitation will be Thursday May 13, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the mortuary. Private family burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Loogootee, Indiana.
The family suggests memorials to the Minneola Health Care Foundation in care of Minnis Mortuary 1901 N. 14th Ave. Dodge City, Kansas 67801. Condolences may be left at www.minnismortuary.net.
