John H. Stevens, 81, of French Lick, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at his residence.
He was born January 7, 1938, in French Lick to Leon and Gathel (Trueblood) Stevens.
John married Janet Owen on February 14, 1959, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Norma Jean (Stevens) Seals.
He retired from Telephone Data Systems, where he worked from 1965 to 2000.
John is survived by his wife, Janet Stevens, French Lick; four sons, John Hayden Stevens Jr., Crawfordsville, Michael Brent Stevens (Charlotte), Cincinnati, Ohio, Brian Scott Stevens (Marilyn), Huntingburg, and Daniel Leon Stevens (Christina), Whitestown; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Rodney Shelton at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23 at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Moores Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday, November 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of serviceat Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick.
