John Earl Dunning, 86, Princeton
May 19, 2020John Earl Dunning, 86, a longtime resident of Princeton, passed away at the Linda E White Hospice House on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

He was born on Wednesday, May 9, 1934, in Decker to Ralph and Opal I. Harvey Dunning, both whom preceded him in death.
John worked at Potter & Brumfield as a set up man, and an operator at Emge Meats. Upon their closing John worked doing maintenance at GCARC, part time at Gibson County Coal, and at Heidenreich family Farms from 2000 to present.
John was married to Kathryn Richeson who preceded him in death. He was then married to Nancy Joann Wheeler, whom also preceded.
John is survived by son, John R. Dunning of Crawfordsville; daughters, Joyce (Steve) Vogler of Jasper, Karen R Belcher of Princeton, Patricia F. Ridge of Jasper, Connie Dunning of Fort Branch, Cheryl Wolfe of Princeton, Terry Welch (Rick Hill) of Princeton and Debbie (Chad) Clark of Haubstadt; sister, Betty S. Ayers of Princeton; brothers, Ron (Loretta) Dunning of Princeton and Ralph (Janet) Dunning of Woodbury, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ginny Horth.
John was married to Kathryn Richeson who preceded him in death. He was then married to Nancy Joann Wheeler, whom also preceded. John was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Samuel Dunning; brother; Edgar Dunning, sister, Margaret Mellinger; and grandsons, Chris Vogler and Nicolas Cain Belcher.
Due to the current Federal mandates pertaining to the COVID-19 situation, funeral services will be private for the family. The public is invited to the graveside services that will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 20 from 2 to 8 p.m. CT with limitations on numbers of people allowed inside at one time.
Please observe social distancing both at the graveside and the visitation.
Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, has the honor of having charge of the services.
