JoAnne Balsmeyer, 82, of Holland, passed away at 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at The Waters of Huntingburg.
She was born May 30, 1937, in Evansville to Walter Pat and Ava (Stewart) Leroy and married Eugene Ray Balsmeyer on May 15, 1960, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.
JoAnne worked as a clerk at the Holland Medical Clinic; was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland; and enjoyed watching sports and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Robert Leroy, Steven Leroy, Eugene Poe, Barbara Seneff and Jan Leroy; and one grandson, Trevor Andrew Balsmeyer.
JoAnne is survived by her husband, Eugene Ray Balsmeyer of Holland; three children, Cindy (Ron) Broeker of Huntingburg, Mark (Jane) Balsmeyer of Jasper and Brian (Laura) Balsmeyer of Seymour; three siblings, Michael Leroy of Mitchell, Patricia (David) Sickbert of Huntingburg and Diana (Stephen) Clark of Dale; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for JoAnne Balsmeyer will be held at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate at the service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16 and also at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland one hour prior to the funeral Thursday morning.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Paul Cemetery Fund.
