Jimmy R. Neuman Sr., 87, Ferdinand
June 4, 2020Jimmy R. Neuman Sr., 87, of Ferdinand and formerly of Gentryville, died on Tuesday June 2, 2020, at Scenic Hills at the Monestary in Ferdinand.

Jimmy was born in Huntingburg on April 3, 1933, to Albert and Katie (Wilkey) Neuman.
Jimmy was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea and Germany.
Jimmy worked at Whirlpool and was a volunteer firefighter with Jackson Township Fire Dept.
He and his wife Charlotte attended the Gentryville United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was the Sunday School Superintendent.
He enjoyed reading western novels, gardening and his family.
He is survived by his children Jimmy R. Neuman Jr., DeWayne Neuman, Kimberly Tabb, Stacy Peterson and Carla Goble; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, in 2019; a brother, Albert; and two sisters, Mary Katherine and Wilma Campbell.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Gentryville United Methodist Church or Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.
