Jeeps hand out awards at cross county banquet

Northeast Dubois held its cross country awards banquet Monday night, passing out awards to different runners on the boys and girls side.

Freshman Jordan Schweikarth earned the Most Valuable runner award on the girls side. Schweikarth qualified for state as an individual this year, finishing 139th with a time of 20:34.3 Saturday in Terre Haute.

Junior Pierce Brinkman scooped up the honor of the Most Valuable boys runner. Brinkman finished 117th at semi-state with a time of 17:57.9.

The Northeast Dubois boys made it to the regional meet as a team, while the girls team made it to semi-state.
