A Saturday, July 14, 2012, double ring ceremony united in marriage Jayme Thewes and Brad Hochgesang. The 2 p.m. rites took place in Holy Family Catholic Church, Jasper. Father Donald Ackerman officiated.
Jim and Connie Thewes and Mark and Brenda Hochgesang, all of Jasper, are parents of the couple.
Mary Burke, organist, accompanied Steffi Schmucker as she sang for the ceremony.
Karen Mehringer, Leon Thewes, Linda Hohl and Joe Hochgesang carried the offertory gifts. Lectors were Emily Leinenbach and Christina Allen. Eucharistic ministers were Leon and Donna Thewes and Kari Seal.
Lauren Baglan and Abbey Mehringer gave out programs.
Mr. and Mrs. Thewes gave their daughter in marriage. The bride chose her sisters, Kari Seal and Angie Bueltel, both of Jasper, as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Weyer of Ferdinand and Dana Kiefer of Jasper, sisters of the bridegroom; Megan Knies of Jasper, cousin of the bride; and Pam Ruhe, Audrey Wagner and Kim Doty of Jasper, friends of the couple.
Best men were Chad Hochgesang, brother of the bridegroom, and Jon Ruhe, friend of the couple, both of Jasper. Groomsmen were Kyle Hochgesang and Aaron Pfister, both of Jasper, cousins of the bridegroom, and Tim Gudorf, Shane Wagner and Jeremy Baglan, all of Jasper, and Nick Wehr of Schnellville, friends of the couple. Ushers were Maury Bueltel and Loren Seal, both of Jasper, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Matt Kiefer of Jasper and Grant Weyer of Ferdinand, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Max Bueltel of Jasper, godchild of the bride; Cooper Seal of Jasper, nephew of the bride; and Talan Kiefer of Jasper, godchild of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the Ferdinand Community Center.
The couple is residing in Jasper after a wedding trip to Orange Beach, Ala.
