JASPER — The Jasper Police Department arrested a woman and charged her with nine felony counts today after investigating the complaint of a stolen credit card.
Jasper police and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department investigated the stolen card complaint and fraudulent activity involving it.
That investigation led to the arrest at 5 p.m. Sunday of Wendy M. Hernandez de Hernandez, 26, of 675 Giesler Road.
Police allege Hernandez stole the card and used it for eight different transactions at multiple Jasper businesses.
Authorities booked Hernandez into the Dubois County Security Center on a Class D felony count of theft and eight Class D felony counts of fraud.
