Jasper siren found not in service

From Local Sources

JASPER — As a result of monthly testing of the citywide emergency weather sirens Dec. 1, it has been determined the siren located by the Dubois County Humane Society on Wernsing Road is currently inoperable.

Until further notice, according to the City of Jasper, the siren will remain out of service until repairs are completed.

All homeowners and business owners are encouraged to be aware of the problem, to check their NOAA weather radios to ensure they have fresh batteries and remain attuned to media weather updates.
