Buster Halcomb Jr. unloads cans to recycle at Jasper Salvage on Wednesday. The money earned from the cans will be donated to local churches. Halcomb Jr. and the woman cares for, May Kaiser of Jasper, have been collecting cans from their neighborhood for 18 years to keep the area clean and connect with their neighbors.
