JASPER — The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association will participate in the 2019 Downtown Development Week, sponsored by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch emphasizes the week of Oct. 7-12 as a week to honor the state’s cities and towns to preserve and invest in the hear of their communities’ downtowns.
Downtown Development Week in Jasper includes:
• A mayoral proclamation by Jasper Mayor Dean Vonderheide. He read and signed a proclamation declaring the week at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting this morning.
• A Fall Story Book Walk will take place throughout the week. People can walk around the Downtown Square and read pages of the book, while window shopping.
• The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association will host an Evening of Appetizers from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at participating downtown businesses. You can browse the stores and shops and enjoy an array of food and sample some beer and wine.
