JASPER — A driver was transported to the hospital following a Jeep-versus-Jeep accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of U.S. 231 and State Road 162.
Katelyn Clements of Washington approached the intersection in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler and Allison Englert of Ferdinand approached it in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Englert had a green light and proceeded westbound through the intersection. Clements traveled through the intersection going southbound, ran a red light, and collided with the Englert Jeep.
Both vehicles were totaled. Englert complained of pain and was transported to the hospital by EMS.
Clements also complained of pain but was not transported to the hospital. She was cited for disregarding a traffic light. Sternberg Towing assisted at the scene.
