From Local Sources
JASPER — An arrest followed a report early today of a physical domestic taking place in the city.
Jasper Police Department officers called to the city’s north side at 12:17 a.m. made contact at a residence with Alexander L. Korthaus, 19, 4027 Baden Strasse, who they said was highly intoxicated.
Police also said Korthaus failed to comply with officers’ commands and was forcefully restrained.
After an investigation, police alleged Korthaus had been violent with family members, including at least one female.
Korthaus was transported to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center for medical clearance and was then booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:59 a.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of domestic battery, resisting law enforcement and minor consuming.
