From local sources
JASPER — Nickolas D. Bieker, 32, of 420 W. 43rd St., was arrested by Jasper police Monday afternoon and charged with a misdemeanor count of resisting law enforcement.
Police were called at 12:39 p.m. to the Southern Hills Counseling Center, 480 Eversman Drive, when it was reported Bieker had allegedly gone into the women’s restroom and grabbed a woman in a stall, according to authorities.
Bieker was located by officers walking between storage unit buildings near Southern Hills. He refused commands to stop for police and at one point was reported to have made an offensive gesture as he was running away. Finally, after Bieker stopped and turned toward an officer in a threatening manner, the officer drew his service weapon. The officer ordered Bieker to the ground and he complied at that time.
The female victim from the restroom incident did not want to pursue charges, according to authorities, but Bieker may still be charged with a count of voyeurism.
Beiker was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:15 p.m.
