JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a man into custody Tuesday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting at Walmart Supercenter, 4040 Newton St.
Store personnel detained Scottie L. Nicholson, 22, of 3828 N. Portersville Road, until police could make the 3:54 p.m. arrest.
Nicholson is alleged to have attempted to steal two pairs of sunglasses valued at $32.10.
Authorities booked Nicholson into the Dubois County Security Center at 4 p.m. on a misdemeanor theft charge.
