JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a Daviess County woman into custody Saturday night for allegedly shoplifting at Walmart Supercenter, 4040 N. Newton St.
Taleena B. Morales, 29, Washington, was one of two women stopped by asset protection staff at 9:34 p.m.
Authorities allege Morales took items out of packaging, placed them in her purse and was stopped after passing all points of sale. The total value of the items was $68.57.
Morales was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:53 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of theft. She posted bond later that night.
Another woman alleged to have accompanied Morales and who also reportedly shoplifted items will be cited into court on a theft charge because, authorities said, she was expecting
