JASPER — A Jasper man was booked into jail this week on a warrant charging him with drug offenses.
A warrant was issued last week out of Dubois Superior Court charging Norbert L. Schreiner Jr., 47, 317 W. Fourth St., Jasper, with Level 5 felony possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Charging information states the charges stem from a May 27 incident.
Authorities booked Schreiner into the Dubois County Security Center on Monday on the active warrant. During a Tuesday court hearing, Schreiner’s request for pauper counsel was granted and he was released from custody on moderate pretrial monitoring.
