Jasper man charged with driving offense

SHOALS — A Jasper man was formally charged last week in Martin County with a misdemeanor driving offense.
According to court documents, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by Dustin A. Joy, 26, 3675 N. Portersville Road, Jasper, the night of June 5 in Shoals. Police reported knowing Joy’s license was suspended with no date of being eligible.
Joy was booked into the Martin County Jail that night on a preliminary misdemeanor count of driving while suspended (prior). The charge was formally filed last week in Martin Circuit Court.
