Jasper man arrested for public intoxication

JASPER — A Jasper man was arrested Monday morning for public intoxication after Jasper Police Department was dispatched for a possible break-in.

JPD was dispatched to a residence on Wilhelm Strasse in reference to a possible break-in in progress. After officers arrived, the resident said the man also attempted to enter vehicles and then continued to travel on foot toward Walmart, where he was located by officers.

The man was identified as Antonio Espinoza, 22, and showed signs of being highly intoxicated. He tested .196% BAC and was taken to the Dubois County Security Center where he was charged with public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor.
