Jasper man arrested for OWI

JASPER — A Jasper man was arrested Wednesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Osmin Serrano-Serrano, 45, was stopped by Jasper Police Department officers for running a stoplight at Northwood Avenue and Newton Street and failing to stay in the lane. Officers determined that Serrano-Serrano was under the influence of alcohol. A preliminary blood test gave a result of .221% BAC, almost three times the legal limit.

He was charged with operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15% or more with a prior OWI conviction within the last seven years, a Level 6 felony, OWI endangerment with a prior conviction within the last seven years, and operating while never having been licensed, a Level 6 felony. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
