Jasper man arrested for OWI

JASPER — A Jasper man was arrested Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being observed driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Around noon, Jasper Police Department officers observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Mill Street near the Sixth Street intersection and conducted a traffic stop. Officers determined that Jalouis Holland, 21, was intoxicated and later was found to have a .17% BAC. Holland also admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle that was confiscated by JPD.

Holland was charged with OWI, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia and was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
