Jasper man arrested after traffic stop

JASPER — A Jasper man was arrested on multiple charges Friday after a traffic stop.

The Jasper Police Department conducted a traffic stop in Village Court around 2:30 a.m. on Colt D. Eckert. Officers determined there was suspected drug activity in the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, officers located a stolen handgun, paraphernalia, methamphetamine and THC wax.

Eckert was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen handgun, possession of THC wax, possession of paraphernalia and operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license.

Eckert was lodged into the Dubois County Security Center.
