Jasper firefighters make brief alarm runsJanuary 7, 2020
From Local Sources
JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department made two brief runs to alarm activations in recent days.
Both were found to involve burnt food left on stoves, with no damage to report, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang.
The first call, at 5:26 p.m. Friday, was to 525 S. Skyview Drive.
Two trucks and 23 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
Then, at 1 p.m. Monday, a similar run was logged at 1439 Leopold St.
Trucks were told they could disregard, but Hochgesang continued to the scene long enough to ensure there was no additional issue.
