Jasper dry-cleaning business under new ownershipJuly 6, 2018

JASPER — Sunset Laundry & Dry Cleaners is now under new ownership.
Jasper resident Cheryl Schnell recently sold the business, located at 218 Third Ave. in Jasper, to Francesco Greco and Anthony Mivalez. Partners in G&M Investments, the duo took ownership in May.
Schnell came into the business nearly 30 years ago after working in manufacturing plants and as a communications officer at the Jasper Police Department.
The business offers a variety of services including dry cleaning, wash and fold laundry, leather cleaning, wedding dress preservation and shoe repair.
Greco and Mivalez have over 15 years of experience in investments, with about five in the dry-cleaning business. They currently own four other laundromat and dry cleaning businesses — three in Louisville, Kentucky, and one in La Grange, Kentucky — and were looking to expand.
The partners’ locations in Kentucky are all called Pacific Cleaners, and Greco and Mivalez are considering changing the name of Sunset Laundry & Dry Cleaners to that as well.
“We would like to try and bring it all under one umbrella,” Greco said.
Sunset Laundry & Dry Cleaners is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and is closed on Sunday. The business can be reached at 812-482-6333.
